This is a (20)w x 16(h) inch digital picture that changes continuously as it is being played. Inspired by the results and feedback given at the Crit presentation on the 26th of January 2018, this image is a symbolic display of music and the way it can travel through different realms and panes of contemporary history. This in simple term displays a picture of veteran rap artist, the digital processing of the photograph begins to change from the moment in which the video plays, slowly but surely the viewer can see a second artist emerging from behind the initial picture. This is to show how the music of the veteran artist will continue to travel even after death.
Projection Two: Soundtrack Lyrics
(Remix artist lyrics and original artists lyrics)

This second projection is a simpler display of the artists lyrics. A time gap of roughly 60 seconds to two minutes is created in transition. This is to enable the first sound track in the music video to end and the second sound track to start. The lyrics on the screen also hold symbolic meaning, as the video display the words and letters writeen in a format that displays a series of sound waves.
Main Output: Music Video

This is the final main output of the project. Subsequent the supervision meetings and private practice, it was deemed necessary to explore the importance of music. Its presence in society is forever changing and there are concurrent issues that surround this. Theorists will continue to use representational values to represent something that simply cannot be represented. This project aims to elevate the importance of music, to a more serious engagement with the world.

Subsequent the completion and setting of the display I made a recording of the project working within the display space. I was presented with a variety of technical difficulties during this process, but none of these issues were important or unanticipated enough to describe or mention. Initially the picture frames contained a glass sheet which was no issue for the first projection, however this gave the lyrics a heavy glare and made them difficult to see. I therefore had to remove both of them to retain an overall consistency across the wall display.
